The first season of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms has concluded, but the journey for Dunk and Egg is far from over. Showrunner Ira Parker recently spoke with IGN to shed light on what fans can expect from the next season.
According to Parker, the show's plans for season 2 and beyond are ambitious. In an interview with Polygon, Parker mentioned that the show is planned to run for at least 10 more seasons, with each season covering a significant portion of George R.R. Martin's original novella.
A Lifelong Journey for Dunk and Egg
Parker emphasized that the show's focus is on the lifelong journey of Dunk and Egg, rather than a simple adaptation of the novella. He stated, "We're not just doing a season, we're doing a series. We're doing a journey that's going to take us through the entirety of the novella." [6]
