Live Nation, a leading ticketing and event promotion company, has been exposed for its high fees after unsealed messages revealed employees joking and bragging about 'robbing fans blind' with sky-high parking prices. The messages, obtained by Rolling Stone, show regional directors of ticketing for Live Nation amphitheaters discussing the high fees and how they can be justified.

The messages, which date back to 2024, were unsealed as part of a lawsuit against Live Nation. The lawsuit alleges that the company's high fees are deceptive and unfair to consumers.

The messages reveal that Live Nation employees were aware of the high fees and were discussing ways to justify them. One employee joked that the fees were 'like a tax on the poor,' while another said that they were 'like a fee for being alive.'

The lawsuit claims that Live Nation's high fees are a result of the company's business model, which prioritizes profit over customer convenience. The lawsuit seeks to have Live Nation's fees declared deceptive and to require the company to refund customers who were charged excessive fees.

The unsealed messages have sparked outrage among consumers, who are calling for greater transparency and accountability from Live Nation. The company has yet to respond to the allegations.
