Ikea's Affordable USB-C Charger Sparks Competition in Tech Industry

Ikea has released the most affordable version of its Sjöss USB-C chargers yet. Following an $8 30W version that launched in 2024 and a $35 65W option that debuted earlier this year, the new 20W Sjöss is now available online and through many of Ikea's physical US stores for just $3.99. That's considerably cheaper than Apple's 20W USB-C charger, which costs $19, and Anker's 20W PowerPort Atom PD 2, which retails for $15.99.

This move by Ikea is a significant blow to the competition in the tech industry, as it challenges the dominance of established brands like Apple and Anker. The affordability of Ikea's Sjöss charger makes it an attractive option for consumers who are looking for a reliable and affordable USB-C charger.
