Sony Memory Card Shortage

Sony has announced that as of March 27th, 2026, the company is no longer accepting orders for nearly all the products in its CFexpress and SD memory card lines. The list of affected memory products includes CFexpress Type A, Type B, and SDXC/SDHC cards, although a few models of Type B and low-end SF-UZ series are still available for purchase.

This decision comes as a result of ongoing shortages in the global memory card market. Sony has stated that it is working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, but in the meantime, customers will not be able to place new orders for these products.

The affected products include:

  • CFexpress Type A cards
  • CFexpress Type B cards
  • SDXC/SDHC cards

However, some models of Type B and low-end SF-UZ series cards are still available for purchase.
